Juicy Bits Releases A Juicy New Photo Collage App – Layout – For The IPad
Finally! A Collage App that does what I want it to do! I guess the phrase “All things come to those who wait” really does apply when it comes to technology.
The tactile photo-editing capability is really taking off in a monumental way. Excellent photo-editing apps like IPhoto and PS Touch have pretty much led the way in this revolution.
And now the Layout creators have taken the collage-making experience to a similar and equally exciting new level. The developers have stretched the boundaries of what one is capable of accomplishing with a finger swipe when trying to create the perfect collage. It really is brilliant.
This App has so much going on but my favorite, apart from being able to finger-swipe your own collage into sections, is the face detection capability. It nicely complements Apple’s original vision and implementation of this concept.
I also love the manner in which one can add captions – not only to the entire collage but also to each picture in the collage. Very nice. And the background color matching is superb as well. Oh, who am I kidding? I love everything about this Layout App.
The video at the bottom of this article is an excellent guide to this new App, highlighting in a professional way everything one can accomplish with Layout. You are limited only by your imagination.
Also, below I have added Juicy Bit’s Press Release describing every aspect of this wonderful App. Read it as you watch the video and please add your thoughts in the comments section.
Presently, Layout – Juicy Bits is only available in Canada but will be available worldwide on July 5th in the iOS App Store for $2.99. It is worth every darn penny! I will update this article with the International link on Thursday.
Juicy Bits Press Release
Layout makes it easy to arrange your photos, tell stories, and share with friends.
Swipe your finger to quickly split a frame into sections, and use the radial menu to add photos directly from Facebook, Instagram, or Flickr. Enhance images with built-in filters and effects, adjust saturation and contrast, add some stickers, and a whole lot more. Then, add a caption to each photo, apply a background color or pattern, and share your layout with friends and family via e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr. If you want to go back, Layout includes undo and redo, and best of all, you can store your projects in iCloud to share them with other devices.
